TDI does not mandate pre-licensing coursework for the L&H or P&C licenses, however there IS a mandatory requirement for the adjusters license. Our 40 credit-hour Texas Insurance Adjusters course is approved by the Texas Department of Insurance. Upon completion of the online course you will be able to apply to obtain your adjusters license which is reciprocal in AL, AK, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, KY, MN, MS, MT, NH, NM, NC, OK, SC, UT, VT, WA, WV, WI, WY.

Texas Insurance Pre-License Requirements
With the exception of a P&C Adjuster's license, there are no specific pre-license course requirements or mandatory hours of training required for this state. Our exam prep courses cover topics that help you prepare for the state exam.

• Effective January 1, 2010, all new resident applicants, excluding active licensees and individuals that apply for reinstatement within 6 months of expiration date, shall be required to submit electronic fingerprints through a vendor selected by the Department for a criminal background check. The applicant shall bear the cost for electronic fingerprinting.
